So, for years I’ve used a program I’ve made called Console Calc. I made a new version called Calculon but I didn’t use it much, I still used my older 2004 program Console Calc. That said, for the last year I’ve been refining what I want from a desktop calculator. Namely having it be easy to use, be extensible a bit and having an aesthetic I like. So, here is the result, Calculon X2

So, it has the following features.
- Ability to keep it on top with a double-click
- Ability to define variables and functions merely by declaring it
- a bunch of retro fonts and color schemes
- a use paradigm similar to that of a graphing calculator
- A history so you can see what you were working on last time
- The ability to take num pad input despite having it be not num pad locked
Anyways, I have it on all of my computers and I enjoy using it. Made in python and using PyQT6, it loads a bit more slowly than I’d like, but still. I like it. Try it here, http://smackaay.com/files/CalculonX2.zip
It’s just a packed python executable.
